With the dream of becoming a dentist, I was entitled to study Ankara University, Faculty of Dentistry with the university exam I took. I completed my education between 2001-2006 and became a dentist. In the same year, I was entitled to do my doctorate in Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology. I was awarded the Title of Periodontology Specialist by completing my thesis titled “Examination of Gingival Osmotic Pressure in the Treatment of Gingival Hyperpigmentation with Er:yag Laser”.

I am married to Orthodontist Dr.Dt. Burçin İPEK and we have a daughter and a son. In my clinic that I opened in Eskişehir, I accept my patients and continue my studies.

Teeth whitening differs in our teeth colors due to human nature. Today, teeth discoloration occurs due to reasons such as tea, coffee, smoking or drug use. While some of the colorations are very superficial, some of them may have penetrated to the deeper layers. In some cases, the color of the teeth may be a little dark due to congenital origin. While some of the discolorations can be removed with a simple polishing process, sometimes cleaning with chemical agents and whitening may be required. Whitening agents that applied in clinics are applied to the tooth enamel in two sessions. Household whiteners, on the other hand, should be applied very carefully due to their intense abrasive properties. When the whitening process is applied correctly, it can lighten the original tooth color by 2-3 tons. However, color change may occur again with the use of yellowing agents.
